For years I have struggled to find a way of eating for lean muscle gains that I can maintain over time. For example, I'd go all out Paleo for 3 months, get lean for a holiday, and then eat all the things I'd deprived myself of during those three months - leading to me putting back on the body fat again.

I was 10 weeks out from my first Master's Figure competition when I began working with Jonny. I had previously been working with a bikini fitness trainer, but found the diet extremely restrictive and difficult to adhere to, and wasn't really seeing any results. My husband was already training with Jonny and I was pretty impressed with the results he had achieved in a relatively short time.

2 years ago I started using Johnny where I got a block PT package.

Prior to this I had been going to the gym for 4-5 years and although going 5 days a week I was not getting much result in terms of fitness, physique/body definition, weight, strength.

 

For me the biggest difference was the guidance and knowledge Jonny gave me, in particular nutrition. The flexible eating is brilliant, and Jonny teaches it well. I wouldn't consider it a diet as I never feel restricted in foods and calculating your macros quickly becomes second nature. As well as that Jonny helped give my work out routine structure and more understanding on exercises and planning i.e. compound exercises etc.

 

Jonny is approachable, extremely knowledgeable and gives you quick responses.Since I started with Jonny I've seen quick results and have continued to progress. I feel fitter, stronger, healthier with a much greater understanding of nutrition and training. If you want results but at the same time a plan that you won't get bored of, can sustain and actually enjoy I would highly recommend Jonny.

I hired Jonny as I could tell that he got results from his clients, and they also seemed to be enjoying the process. I had never tried training before, and mostly stuck to doing exercise DVDs at home and avoiding the gym as I thought I'd look stupid and clueless. Training with Jonny has changed that completely, he has taught me everything I know and given me the confidence I never had.

 

Jonny's approach to training and nutrition lets me eat the foods I want to eat whilst losing weight and getting toned and stronger. He stopped me from being scared of weights and ‘getting bulky’, and instead find confidence and satisfaction in how strong I've become.

I am extremely happy with Jonny’s coaching. Flexible dieting has really changed my life for the best . As far as a more aesthetic physique goes I have seen better and faster results than I ever dreamed possible…. And even better they are easily sustainable.

 

I work off shore and with a normal ‘cookie cutter’ meal plan it would be impossible for me to maintain that type of diet, Jonny tailors my nutrition when he needs to and as I am unable to use the same gym equipment he will also change exercises when needed….

 

This all results in me changing, getting leaner and stronger every week!

When scrolling through Facebook I came across a recommendation from a friend for Johnny's expertise, I had never heard of flexible dieting or IIFYM before but decided to try it! Best decision ever!! Johnny is encouraging, supportive and when you've had a bad week gets you quickly back on track!

 

Before starting with Johnny I had tried various diets/meal plans but none got me the results I achieved both physically and mentally with Johnny's help! This is not a quick fix, it is a change in lifestyle but I assure you if you stick with it you will not look back!

Why did I hire Jonny? I first saw Jonny in a local gym in Glasgow. It was quite clear that he came across as professional from the start. Whilst I had met other PTs before I always felt they lacked what I was hoping for in a trainer. Jonny excelled in every aspect and it was quite clear that you could trust his insight as he was extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to his craft.

 

What was I doing before hiring Jonny? Kidding myself on. No seriously. I had heard and read every tall tale of fitness before I sat down with Jonny. He focused my desire for a healthier life with information and provided the guidance to achieve.

 

What did Jonny get me to do differently? Initially Jonny did exactly what I was looking for. Structure. Build the improvements slowly and see how the small margins helped. There was never any goal that seemed overcooked. Jonny is realistic. He trusts his skills and it works if you are not wanting a competition figure in a fortnight. Jonny is extremely supportive and wants you to think about your fitness more than you would ever have. It's encouraging to have those engagements because many people lose consciousness of their own responsibility when they hire a PT.

 

Why should people hire Jonny? Jonny has developed as a student and a teacher throughout the years I have known him. I would put his skills up against almost every person claiming to be an experienced trainer or not I have subsequently met. Jonny is not a slave to getting results but if you listen to him. Accept that he has dedicated his life to being the best he can be in his field. Then you will benefit from his guidance. Getting into shape is no easy win for any person in this modern life. Jonny is a key to this and if you match his efforts then you'll be on the right track.
